Role Overview
We are looking for a Revenue Operations Analyst to build the data infrastructure and operational systems that power The Meridiem's commercial growth. You will own CRM management, sales analytics, pipeline forecasting, pricing strategy, and reporting across advertising, sponsorships, and partnerships. This role is ideal for a systems thinker who loves turning messy data into clear insights and scalable processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage the CRM system (HubSpot or Salesforce), ensuring clean data, accurate pipeline tracking, and reliable reporting for the revenue team.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports that provide visibility into sales pipeline health, revenue performance, conversion rates, and forecast accuracy.
- Own revenue forecasting, building models that predict advertising revenue, sponsorship renewals, and partnership income on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Analyze sales performance data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Support pricing strategy by analyzing market rates, audience engagement data, and competitive benchmarks for newsletter sponsorships, display ads, and sponsored content.
- Design and optimize the lead-to-revenue workflow, ensuring smooth handoffs between marketing, SDR, and Account Executive functions.
- Manage sales tooling and integrations, evaluating and implementing platforms that improve efficiency (sales engagement, prospecting, analytics).
- Create and maintain documentation for sales processes, playbooks, and compensation structures.
- Collaborate with finance to reconcile revenue data, support invoicing workflows, and contribute to budget planning.
- Produce regular reports for leadership on key commercial metrics including MRR, ARR, average deal size, sales cycle length, and win rates.
- Analyze advertising campaign performance data to support the sales team with renewal conversations and upsell opportunities.
- Identify and implement automation opportunities that reduce manual work and improve data accuracy across the revenue stack.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in revenue operations, sales operations, business analytics, or a related analytical role.
- Strong proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce or HubSpot), including administration, reporting, and workflow automation.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills and experience building financial models or forecasts.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, or similar) or BI platforms.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources into actionable insights.
- Experience with sales process design, pipeline management, and funnel optimization.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Strong communication skills for presenting findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-Have
- SQL proficiency for querying databases and building custom reports.
- Experience in media, publishing, or advertising revenue operations specifically.
- Familiarity with advertising metrics (CPM, CPC, fill rate, yield) and media pricing models.
- Experience with marketing automation platforms and their integration with CRM systems.
- Background in a startup environment where you built operational systems from scratch.
- Knowledge of subscription and newsletter business models and their associated metrics.
What We Offer
- Competitive salary ($80,000 - $115,000) plus meaningful equity in a Series A startup.
- Remote-first work environment with flexible hours.
- Health, dental, and vision insurance.
- Unlimited PTO with an encouraged minimum of 3 weeks.
- Annual learning and development budget ($1,500).
- The opportunity to build revenue operations from the ground up at a high-growth media company.
- Direct collaboration with leadership and visibility into all aspects of commercial strategy.
- Access to cutting-edge tools and the autonomy to choose the right solutions for the business.
