Role Overview
We are hiring a Partnerships Manager to develop and manage the strategic relationships that expand The Meridiem's reach, revenue, and influence. You will own content syndication deals, co-marketing partnerships, event sponsorships, affiliate programs, and cross-promotional opportunities with other media brands and technology companies. This role requires a relationship builder who thinks creatively about value exchange and can structure deals that benefit all parties.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, negotiate, and manage strategic partnerships that drive audience growth, revenue, and brand awareness for The Meridiem.
- Develop content syndication agreements with complementary media outlets, aggregators, and distribution platforms to extend reach.
- Structure and execute co-marketing partnerships with technology companies, accelerators, VC firms, and industry organizations.
- Manage event sponsorship relationships including tech conferences, webinars, and industry panels where The Meridiem has a presence.
- Build and optimize affiliate programs that generate referral revenue and expand the subscriber base.
- Develop partnership proposals, term sheets, and agreements, working with legal counsel as needed.
- Manage ongoing partner relationships, ensuring deliverables are met, value is realized, and renewals are secured.
- Track partnership performance metrics including revenue generated, audience growth attributed, and brand exposure gained.
- Collaborate with the editorial team to identify partnership opportunities that enhance content offerings without compromising editorial independence.
- Work with the growth marketing team to integrate partnership channels into the broader acquisition strategy.
- Represent The Meridiem at industry events, networking functions, and partner meetings.
- Build and maintain a partnership pipeline with regular reporting to leadership on opportunity status and revenue impact.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in partnership management, business development, or strategic alliances.
- Proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and managing partnerships that delivered measurable business results.
- Experience in media, publishing, technology, or a related industry with a strong professional network.
- Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to structure creative, mutually beneficial deals.
- Strong relationship management skills with a track record of building trust and long-term collaboration with external partners.
- Ability to manage multiple active partnerships and negotiations simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Comfort with data and metrics, including the ability to build business cases and measure partnership ROI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for proposals, presentations, and executive updates.
Nice-to-Have
- Existing network of contacts in the tech media, startup, or VC ecosystem.
- Experience with content syndication, licensing, or distribution partnerships specifically.
- Background in event sponsorship sales or management.
- Familiarity with affiliate marketing platforms and models.
- Experience at an early-stage company where you built the partnerships function from the ground up.
