Role Overview
We are hiring a Content Marketing Manager to build and execute the content strategy that positions The Meridiem as a trusted authority in tech media. You will lead brand storytelling, develop thought leadership initiatives, manage cross-channel campaigns, and ensure every piece of marketing content reflects our editorial standards. This role bridges the gap between our newsroom and our growth ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with The Meridiem's brand voice, audience segments, and business objectives.
- Create compelling brand narratives and marketing copy across channels including the website, blog, social media, email, and partner platforms.
- Lead thought leadership initiatives by partnering with editors and reporters to produce industry reports, trend analyses, and original research.
- Plan and manage cross-channel marketing campaigns to support product launches, newsletter growth, and advertiser engagement.
- Build and maintain an editorial marketing calendar that coordinates with the newsroom's publishing schedule and major tech events.
- Write and oversee production of case studies, advertiser success stories, and media kits that support the sales team.
- Collaborate with the SEO specialist to ensure all marketing content is optimized for search visibility and discoverability.
- Manage relationships with freelance writers, designers, and agencies for marketing content production.
- Analyze content performance metrics and iterate on strategy based on engagement, conversion, and attribution data.
- Own The Meridiem's brand guidelines and ensure consistency across all external-facing communications.
- Identify content syndication and distribution opportunities to expand reach beyond owned channels.
- Support event marketing efforts including webinars, panels, and industry conference presence.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in content marketing, brand marketing, or editorial strategy.
- Exceptional writing and editing skills with a portfolio demonstrating range across formats (long-form, social, email, ad copy).
- Experience developing and managing a content calendar for a multi-channel publishing operation.
- Strong understanding of content distribution strategies across organic, paid, and earned channels.
- Proven ability to translate complex or technical topics into clear, engaging marketing narratives.
- Experience with CMS platforms, marketing automation tools, and analytics dashboards.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-moving startup environment.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working cross-functionally with editorial, sales, and product teams.
Nice-to-Have
- Background in tech journalism, media, or B2B technology marketing.
- Experience building a brand from early stage through rapid growth.
- Familiarity with Beehiiv, Strapi CMS, or similar publishing and newsletter tools.
- Experience producing original research reports or industry benchmarks.
- Video content production or podcast marketing experience.
